Monday: This week we learned about initial digraphs (2 letters that make one sound) (sh, ch, th, wh). We made anchor charts for each digraph. We dove right in to learning about spiders this week by using a Nearpod presentation. This is an awesome program that allows me to plan lessons for students integrating their ipads! We read a non-fiction article to learn about spiders. In math we continued learning about defining and non-defining attributes of shapes.

Tuesday: Today we started our informational writing on spiders. We filled out a tree map to help guide our writing! We did a grab bag activity in math where we chose a shape and had to describe it to the class.

Wednesday: Today we read a mini book on our ipads about spiders! In math we did Xtra math for the first time. It is a website that allows us to practice our addition and subtraction fluency.

Thursday: Today we made headbands to show all of the things we know about spiders. We also reviewed all that we know about shapes!!

Friday: Today we finally read a fiction story about spiders. We read The Very Busy Spider. We sequenced the story and did a writing activity to tell if spiders were cool or creepy.
