This week we learned how other countries celebrate Christmas. Here is a peek at our week!
Monday: Today we talked about how we celebrate Christmas in America and made a family traditions quilt. Here is a picture of it:
Tuesday: Today we learned about Christmas in Mexico. We made poinsettias and wrote about how their Christmas was different from ours. Here is some of our work:
Wednesday: Today we learned about Christmas in France. We made a nativity scene and talked about how it is different from our Christmas.
Thursday: Today during Science, we used cookies to show the different phases of the moon. Here are some pictures:
We also learned about Christmas in Israel. We made menorahs and sang the dreidle song.
Friday: Today we learned about Christmas in Germany. We made these Christmas trees and ate them! We also chose which country we would want to celebrate Christmas in and why.
Reminders:
*The book fair will be here until the 7th!
*On Wednesday December 14 we will have Polar Express Day and the kids can bring a blanket/pillow
* Our class holiday party is Thursday December 15 (see the note in progress report folder or the link on here)
*Our winter break begins Monday 12-19-16 :)
